Facial wrinkles can be the result of strong facial expressions; external influences such as the sun and the wind; alcohol consumption and nicotine abuse; stress and worry or simply gravity and the skin's normal aging process. By injecting liquids into the wrinkles these signs of skin aging can be removed or at least reduced, thus achieving a significantly improved appearance. Various products are available, we mostly use Juvederm (Allergan) which is one of the highest quality products. Hyaluronic acid breaks down after 6-12 months (the thicker ones like "Voluma" up to 18 month) and the treatment can then be repeated if required or just a little freshend up inbetween if neseccary. In the product there is local anaesthesia, so only the first needle you feel, than the area where injected gets numb.

Thanks to the special injection technique using blunt hollow needles injection of hyaluronic acid is very non-invasive and does not usually result in any major swelling of the deeper layers of the skin, allowing the middle layers to be given more volume. This results in a significant rejuvenation of the patient's appearance; they look "fresher" again. The procedure is thus often called "bio-lifting" since it makes a slight lifting of the facial skin possible.

Hyaluronic acid can also be used to rejuvenate the appearance of other parts of the body. It can be used for hands; throat and cleavage; ear lobes and also to treat puckered scars.

Hyaluronic acid can, of course, also be used to plump and refine lips. The results are excellent, no matter whether you want a minimal change to the contours or a full pout. Since injections into the lip can be unpleasant a local anaesthetic can be given on request before treatment.
