Jodhpurs have no place in your life
“Saddle breeches syndrome”, “orange peel” – there are many unpleasant terms for a widespread phenomenon. We would be happy to help you eliminate these expressions from your vocabulary with a thigh lift and butt lift.
We tighten the excess skin on the thighs with just one incision in the groin over the pubic region to the bottom fold. Only in severe cases does an additional incision have to be made on the inside of the thigh. Especially the upper third, often also the middle third of the thighs are visibly tightened.
Thigh lift consultation with Dr. Bodo
A conversation with Miss Dr. Bodo in advance clarifies all questions that arise and records all desired changes. Very important: If you share your expectations with us during the consultation, the best result can be achieved. With the individually tailored treatment.
The surgeon already has one aspect in focus during his preparation: efficiency. Ideally, as few cuts as possible are made. This causes almost no scars. Further adjustments are achieved through liposuction. This means that the entire procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis and under local anesthesia.
As with any operation, a thigh lift is about uniform and therefore aesthetic proportions. A surgical procedure including the removal of larger areas of skin is necessary, but the results are impeccable and create a lastingly improved body feeling.
Preparing for surgery
A surgical thigh lift should be the last resort. The procedure is not recommended for patients who have not previously attempted to lose weight through diet or exercise. It is possible that the desired weight is still too far away for the individual ideas to be able to be realized with an operation.
However, anyone who decides to have an operation should consider a few things: First, the blood circulation should be stimulated, which can easily be done with cold showers. In addition, a dermatologist should treat any inflammation. The absolute ban on alcohol, sleeping pills and painkillers is very important. This also applies to aspirin, as it thins the blood. Depending on the amount of fat to be removed, it may make sense to donate your own blood in advance. This helps later in the healing process.
Thigh lift procedure
There are basically two different types of tightening: vertical tightening on the inside of the thighs and horizontal tightening between the groin and ischium. The procedure takes place in different steps: In a first step, before the anesthesia, the areas to be treated are measured and marked. Then there is disinfection. A vasoactive solution is introduced via the vein access. This will prevent excessive bleeding.
Now the surgeon removes the marked excess skin including fatty tissue. Liposuction is also used on a case-by-case basis to achieve a better result. Only then is the skin tightened, in which the surgeon sews up the wounds on the thigh on the inside or between the groin and ischium. Bruises or wound secretions can drain off via the Redon drainage system used. Other areas of the body are tightened and fat deposits are removed in a similar manner.
What should be considered after thigh surgery?
The patients are given medication for the pain so that he can recover better. Thrombosis stockings prevent blood clots and embolism. Isometric muscle exercises stimulate blood flow and oxygenation. Overall, the wounds only healed completely after a few weeks. After ten days, however, a reduction in swelling is noticeable.
Patients should definitely take care of their skin intensively after the procedure. This promotes the healing process. Appropriate ointments with panthenol or light compresses are recommended. In addition, cold showers are a simple means of supporting circulation and thus wound healing. The stitches are removed two weeks after the operation. If further measures are necessary, these are discussed individually with the patient before discharge.
Patients should take it easy for at least two months and go about their daily routine in peace. You can go back to work after about three weeks. After five weeks you can slowly start exercising again.
What are the risks of a thigh lift?
Allergies to medicines and care products must be considered in advance. This and other diseases should be discussed with the surgeon and the anesthesiologist. Noticeable bruises or persistent bleeding after minor injuries can indicate a coagulation disorder. If this occurs, a separate investigation must be carried out.
Patients who suffer from special diseases of the vessels, veins or thrombosis or embolism are considered risk patients and must be treated with particular care. Blood, heart and lungs are also examined in all patients.
What complications can arise?
In some cases, a major surgical intervention is accompanied by wounds, bruising, secretions or bacterial infections. In the area of the scars, the skin feeling can deteriorate. In this case, regeneration can take months. If there is a large blood loss, blood transfusions are given. Circulation and respiration can be disturbed due to any thrombosis or embolism that may occur. Further minor interventions are necessary if the scars and wounds do not heal optimally.
