Coolsculpting® is a procedure that uses cold to destroy fat cells. It is a gentle alternative to traditional liposuction. You can read, sleep, watch a movie or just relax while the Coolsculpting® procedure treats your love handles. The application is based on cryolipolysis, a special form of cold treatment. The fat cells that are eliminated by the cold are permanently gone. Coolsculpting® has already received one of the highest seals of quality in the USA.

How does a CoolSculpting® treatment work?

After a detailed consultation, we first select the areas to be treated. The appropriate applicator is then applied. During Coolsculpting®, the tissue is suctioned and cooled to as low as -11 degrees Celsius. After 35 to 60 minutes, the treatment in one area is complete. Following this, you will receive a massage to "thaw" the tissue. You can then treat additional areas. For reasons of symmetry, we recommend treating at least two areas in one session.

Is Coolsculpting® painful or are there side effects?

CoolSculpting® has been tested, approved and found safe by the FDA in the USA. The treatment is similar to an ultrasound examination. You usually don't feel anything from the cold, as it has an anesthetic effect at this temperature. Only the first moment and shortly after removing the applicator can be a bit uncomfortable - it tingles like when your legs have fallen asleep. You have to imagine the treatment a bit like a vacuum cleaner that you put on the area to be treated or on the fatty tissue and that works with suction. The device draws in this fat and then cools it down.

Localized, stubborn fat deposits on the stomach, waist, hips, upper arms, inner and outer thighs, and double chins can be treated. Results are usually noticeable around two to three weeks after treatment. In our experience, this process is fully completed after two to four months. However, for larger amounts of fat, multiple treatments are necessary. Your body will be divided into six areas. Your right hip and left hip will each be one area, as will the outer and inner sides of both thighs. This treatment is ideal for patients who have typical fatty deposits. It is always important that you can pinch into it, that the fat is actually tangible.
