PRP microneedling combines two proven procedures in aesthetic medicine: mechanical stimulation of the skin using fine needles (microneedling) and the regenerative effects of PRP (platelet-rich plasma), derived from your own blood. At our clinic in Berlin, we offer this treatment for long-lasting skin rejuvenation, skin texture improvement, and scar reduction—it’s safe, minimally invasive, and completely free of foreign substances.

What is PRP microneedling?

PRP stands for „Platelet-Rich Plasma.“ It contains highly concentrated, endogenous growth factors that stimulate cell regeneration and tissue repair. In PRP microneedling, this plasma is introduced immediately after controlled microstimulation of the skin (needling).

This combination enhances the effectiveness of both methods:

  • Microneedling It creates micro-injuries and stimulates collagen and elastin production.

  • PRP accelerates healing, improves cell activity, and boosts skin renewal from the inside out.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

PRP microneedling is ideal for:

  • fine lines and tired-looking skin

  • Acne or surgical scars

  • uneven skin texture or large pores

  • first signs of aging

  • dull, poorly perfused skin („Glow Booster“)

  • Loss of elasticity in the face, neck, or décolletage

The treatment is suitable for nearly all skin types and is gentle even on sensitive skin—since it uses only the body’s own substances.

Treatment procedure

  1. Blood Collection & Centrifugation: A small amount of blood is drawn and processed in a special centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich plasma.

  2. Skin Preparation: Cleaning and, if necessary, application of a topical anesthetic cream.

  3. Microneedling: The skin is micro-perforated using an electric Dermapen.

  4. Injection of PRP: The plasma is applied immediately afterward and penetrates deep into the skin.

  5. Final care: A cooling mask soothes the skin.

Duration of treatment: about 60–75 minutes
Recommendation: 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for long-lasting results

Aftercare & Behavior

  • No cosmetics or makeup for 24 hours

  • Avoid intense sun, tanning beds, exercise, or saunas for 2–3 days

  • Daily UV protection (SPF 50) for at least 1 week

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions About PRP Microneedling

In PRP microneedling, the skin is first stimulated with fine needles (microneedling). Processed autologous plasma (PRP) is then applied to intensively promote regeneration and collagen production.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is concentrated blood plasma that is extracted from a small blood sample and enriched in a centrifuge. It contains growth factors that promote cell regeneration.

Combining this treatment with PRP intensifies the regeneration process. The skin heals faster, becomes firmer and smoother, and takes on a healthier appearance.

  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne Scars and Surgical Scars
  • pale, poorly perfused skin
  • Loss of elasticity in the face, neck, or décolletage
  • enlarged pores and uneven skin texture
A session lasts approximately 60–75 minutes, including blood draw, microneedling, and PRP treatment

For visible and long-lasting results, we recommend 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

That depends on the length of the needles used. The deeper the PRP is injected, the more effective it is—but the longer the recovery time. Recovery can take 2 days, or as long as 7–10 days.

Thanks to a topical anesthetic cream, the procedure is well tolerated. You may experience a slight sensation of warmth or tightness.

Not recommended for:

  • acute skin infections or inflammation
  • blood-thinning medication
  • Autoimmune Diseases
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
