DGBT Congress 2026 in Berlin – my report
May 14, 2026
On May 8 and 9, 2026, the 12th Congress of the German Society for Aesthetic Botulinum and Filler Therapy took place in Berlin—and I was there as vice president of the DGBT and as a speaker.
1,150 participants from German-speaking countries and abroad gathered at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz. The conference had already sold out in advance.
20 Years of DGBT
This year’s conference took on special significance. The DGBT celebrated its 20th anniversary. Two decades of quality-assured training and continuing education in aesthetic injection therapy—in a field that’s evolving as rapidly as ours, that’s no small feat. As a certified instructor, member of the scientific committee, and vice president, I have been involved with the DGBT for many years—and what never ceases to impress me is the commitment of everyone involved to responsibly share their knowledge.
90 speakers, 50 presentations, 36 workshops
The program was extensive. It covered updates on botulinum toxin, biostimulation, skin quality, and complications associated with fillers and their management—supplemented by live injections, anatomical demonstrations, and presentations on practice management and legal issues.
My Presentation: Temporal Bone Augmentation—A High-Risk Area
The temporal region is one of the most challenging areas in non-surgical facial treatment—anatomically complex, with a significant neurovascular risk profile. I presented my personal approach: determining indications, selecting products, planning injections, and the safety considerations that are non-negotiable for me. The lively discussion that followed confirmed that there is a genuine need for information within the professional community.
