DGBT Congress 2026 in Berlin – my report

14 May 2026

The 12th Congress of the German Society for Aesthetic Botulinum and Filler Therapy took place in Berlin on May 8th and 9th, 2026 – and I was there as Vice President of the DGBT and as a speaker.

1.150 participants from German-speaking countries and abroad gathered at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. The congress had been fully booked in advance.

20 years of DGBT

This year's congress was particularly significant. The DGBT celebrated its 20th anniversary. Two decades of quality-assured training and continuing education in aesthetic injection therapy – in a field as rapidly evolving as ours, this is no small feat. As a certified speaker, member of the scientific committee, and vice president, I have been involved with the DGBT for many years – and what continues to impress me is the commitment of all involved to passing on knowledge responsibly.

90 speakers, 50 lectures, 36 workshops

The program was comprehensive. It covered botulinum toxin updates, biostimulation, skin quality, filler complications and their management – supplemented by live injections, anatomical demonstrations, and contributions on practice management and law.

My presentation: Temporal augmentation – a high-risk area

The temporal region is one of the most challenging areas for non-surgical facial treatment – anatomically complex, with a significant neurovascular risk profile. I presented my personal approach: indications, product selection, injection planning, and the safety aspects, which are non-negotiable for me. The lively discussion that followed confirmed that there is a genuine need for information within the professional community.
